The 3rd Annual, David Bates Memorial Golf Tournament is a way for our family to remember David and his love of golf but also give back to the Vale community. David Bates passed away in a tragic car accident on January 9th, 2017. David left behind 5 kids and his wife Jessica. The kids are young and will be participating in school activities academically and through sports in their hometown of Vale, Oregon.
We have decided as a family to come together and raise money for the Vale School District every year to help the kids grow in their education and support the Vale Schools, something David believed in very much. David worked hard in his educational journey and was very proud of achieving his goals and Graduating from Boise State University. He was driven in playing sports and participated in school activities while working hard to obtain good grades. We want the same opportunities and more for his children and want them to have ample opportunities in their home town.
This celebration of David’s life and the Golf Tournament will help more than just David’s kids. It’s intent is to positively affect the School District directly, helping many other students and of course to honor David.
To achieve this support for the School District we are having a small golf tournament, one of David’s favorite things to do. All proceeds from the Tournament will go directly back to the schools.
